Dear beloved brethren, workers and fellow soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ,
As always, I am most elated to reach out to you at this time. I am supremely confident that the Lord, whose we are and whom we serve has not ceased to cause His grace to multiply upon us all.
Recently, I communicated you through two concise treatises namely:
- GUIDELINES FOR RESPONSIBLE, FUNCTIONAL AND ACCOUNTABLE SONSHIP
- REMNANT CHRISTIAN NETWORK OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES FOR SONS, DAUGHTERS AND PARTNERS
In both treatises, I presented the burden of the Lord’s work as committed to us; the vision of our ministry and the rules of engagement with respect to the authority structure the Lord has given us to provide oversight for sons and daughters in the body of Christ the world over. The responses were overwhelmingly encouraging. I pressed further in prayer for the next set of marching orders from the Lord. The following passage in Scripture came in response thus:
The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.” So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up — one on one side, one on the other — so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword. (Exodus 17:8-13, NIV)
I would briefly like us to observe the synergy between the staff of God in Moses’ hands on the hill top and the sword of Joshua in the field. Note, also, that Moses did not go to the top of the hill alone neither did Joshua go to the battlefield alone. Moses had a team with him (Aaron and Hur) while Joshua had some warriors with him. So we clearly see two teams here: One on the hill and the other on the field. This has thus informed the choice of the first three words for the title of this treatise: THE HILL-FIELD STARATEGY…
For the conquest of the Amalekites to become a reality, Moses’ and Joshua’s teams had to synergistically pool all resources together to ensure everyone did their bit. Moses was God’s set man on the hill top; Joshua was God’s point man on the battle field; Aaron and Hur and the warriors under Joshua’s command where the much-needed support system that quietly laboured to ensure victory against the Amalekites was sure and total. I dare say that without Aaron, Hur and Joshua’s warriors, there would not have been a victory recorded for Israel against the Amalekites on that day – Moses and Joshua would not have clinched victory without working with their teams.
Ours is an apostolic ministry which we have been privileged to receive of the Lord which Scripture says plays a pivotal, hill top role within the body Christ (1 Corinthians 12:28). We have been also privileged by the Lord to both commission and synergise with a lot of Joshua field ministries through a network of apostolic centres, churches, outreaches and missions.
In my contemplations on our ministry’s structure, the Lord has clearly pointed the fact that we do not lack Joshuas and warriors in the field; we are mostly deficient of Aarons and Hurs. Every Moses on the hill top needs the support system powered by the helps ministry of Aaron and Hur for his hands to hold steady until the conquest of the Amalekites is established.
Our hands are getting weary. The strong point here is: it is not the Lord who will strengthen our hands and hold them steady in this ongoing apostolic conquest of the nations. It is fellow believers whose help ministry is much needed that will strengthen our hands.
It is no secret that the gospel requires so much in terms financial resources to spread. Technology has made the borderless propagation of the gospel of the kingdom possible but financial resources make it practicable. In light of the aforementioned, I am hereby announcing the establishment of REMNANT KINGDOM STEWARDS (RKS) which shall consist of sons, daughters and mentees who are led and convinced by the Lord to support Arome Osayi and the RCN ministry financially.
We have decided to make this open now so that those who want to partake of that which we have with the Lord by way of financial partnership can simply join, make a commitment and follow through volitionally.
We are currently working on a comprehensive system by which the records of all our financial partners can be digitally captured as we keep them abreast of the pace and direction of the work at every given time. This system shall also make it easier for such partners to reach out to us with their prayer needs, feedback and suggestions.
THE CALL TO ACTION
The call to action is simple: all those who are convinced of the Lord to strengthen our hands financially will be given the opportunity to do so by an easy, user friendly system (which shall be available shortly) that will make them participate responsibly in the work God has committed to our hands.
I conclude with the words of Paul to the Philippian church:
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus
(Philippians 1:3-6, NIV)
